Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea. It's an opportunity to share the books you may have bought, borrowed, been sent or gifted. Are you taking part in a similar meme? Feel free to leave a link!
Since my last Showcase post, I shared reviews of Altered by Jennifer Rush, Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff, Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi, Everbound by Brodi Ashton, and The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd. I also announced the winner of my latest giveaway. Simply follow the links if you would like to catch up! Here are the new books I received in the last couple of weeks...

Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Amber House by Kelly Moore
The Archived by Victoria Schwab
Amber House by Kelly Moore
The Archived by Victoria Schwab
Thanks go to Entangled Publishing, Egmont USA and Spencer Hill Press for the review copies. Apollyon, of course, was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, so I devoured it as soon as it arrived. Not surprisingly, it lived up to my expectations! I'm also really looking forward to reading Just One Day and The Collector - the latter especially sounds like an entertaining book.
If you have done your own book haul post, you are welcome to leave a link in the comments and I'll head over as soon as I can. :)

YAY for Just One Day Sam! I think it's Gayle's best book yet, judging by how long it took me to form a coherant review for it! Rachel really enjoyed the mystery behind Amber House, the reviews for it have been incredible so far, so I hope it lives up to your expectations! Notes From Ghost Town has such a gorgeous cover, I'm off to see what it's all about! Happy reading! :)

I'm so curious to see what you'll think of Just One Day! Also, Apollyon! I'm glad she released an in-between novella so I'm not QUITE as on pins and needles, haha. I'm excited to read The Archived. :D
ReplyDeleteOkay, I can personally voice for The Archived and The Amber House. The latter has a rather annoying love triangle but the writing is gorgeous and the story is atmospheric. And The Archived also has an annoying love triangle but the premise is brilliant and one of the characters, Wes, deserves a medal or something for being so utterly awesome. Enjoy the books!
ReplyDeleteThe Collector!! Can't wait to see what you think of it. Amber House sounds like a good mystery. I'm adding it to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing :)
