I'm really excited about a lot of these, especially The Piper's Son and Tiger Lily. I've heard endless great things about both books. And of course, Deity and Cursed are bound to be entertaining reads given the author. And I finally have a copy of For Darkness Shows the Stars! It sounds exactly like my type of book and the positive reviews so far have been very encouraging. I can't wait to get started on it soon.

I was wondering what all those "Team Human" shouts on twitter were all about. Geez. x) I'll go have another look at it, promise.
ReplyDeleteFor Darkness Shows the Stars is on my tbr, but I'm not too eager to get my hands on it. Not yet, anyway, maybe a few more good ratings from goodreads friends will change that. ;)
The rest look good, too. Tiger Lily is going around a lot lately, hope you all enjoy that one. The Piper's Son and Cursed have interesting covers, like them and will look at them some more.

Sam!!!! I'm so jealous you got Tiger Lily!!!! I will be looking out for your review if you write one :D And Team Human sounds like so much fun. The cover of For Darkness Shows the Stars is GORGEOUS :') I've never heard of that book but I'll see if the library has it. And Alice in Zombieland sounds awesome - I love fairytale retellings <3 I so need to hurry up and read JLA's books too!

Wow Sam, amazing haul (like usual)! I've been really excited for Alice in Zombieland, which Giselle over at Xpresso Reads wrote an excellent review for, and Tiger Lily, which sounds marvelous! I LOVED Piper's Son, and I hope you do too! Melina Marchetta is a wonderful Aussie writer. :)
ReplyDeleteAlice in Zombieland? I feel like I need to read this book! I've just started For Darkness Shows The Stars myself as I'd heard so many good things. I'm not a huge Austen fan though so I'm hoping the story is far enough removed from the inspiration for me to get into!

Oh my goodness, Sam, you HAVE TO HAVE TO read For Darkness Shows the Stars as soon as possible -- I read it last week and loved it so much that it jumped automatically onto my favourites shelf! It surprised me with how awesome it was, but even though I kinda want you to be surprised to, I couldn't help gushing just a little bit :') And JLA! Alice in Zombieland! You have some AMAZING books upcoming on your TBR pile, that's for sure! x)

AHSdasdfsdkivjjk!! All the rave reviews for Tiger Lily have exploded my want-o-meter, I really, really can't wait to see what you think. Also: ALICE IN ZOMBIELAND!! Eee! That's just got AWESOME written all over it. Fingers crossed that the actual story is just as fascinating as the idea behind it. For Darkness Shows the Stars also sounds AMAZING. I haven't read Diana's killer unicorn series yet (killer unicorns? hell, I need that), but this one is super high on my wishlist.
