Charade Blog Tour: Guest Post & Giveaway

As the final stop on the Charade tour, I have author Camrbia Hebert on the blog today for a fun guest post. She is also giving away some great swag, including a signed copy of Charade, so stick around for the giveaway at the end. :) Over to Camrbia...

Book: Charade by Cambria Hebert
Series: Heven and Hell (book 2)
Publisher: Otherworld Publications
Published: May 18, 2012
Dying at the hands of a psycho was a shock. Having my life returned to me by an angel was incredible. Being named a Supernatural Treasure and being given Sam as my guard was pretty darn awesome. Acquiring a debt for it all—well, I should have seen it coming.

Now here we are, fighting demons from Hell, caring for a boy that I just don’t trust, and traveling to faraway places to return a treasure to its rightful place. Nothing is as it seems. Everyone wears a mask; everyone puts on a charade. It’s up to us to separate the truth from the lies and reality from fiction. A hard task when my new reality involves fallen angels, witches and dragons… and did I mention Hell?

Anchoring me down through it all is Sam. Sam, who must face tragedies of his own and is put to the test again and again.

If we fail in our task, life as we know it—life as you know it—will end. Forever.

Hi everyone!

Can you believe that the Heven and Hell Charade Tour is coming to an end today? It’s been a fabulous month jam packed full of fun and informative posts. I want to thank those of you who have followed along and supported me!  Also, a huge thanks to Sam for helping me close everything out today!

So, I don’t know about you all but I am exhausted! A month long whirl wind tour can be very tiring (yeah, I was at home the whole time but my brain can still be tired!! He he he he). So I thought that today I would tell you what writers do AFTER a blog tour and a whirl wind of promotion. Well, okay, promotion for a writer never goes away… but my time will be a tad bit more free now that the blog tour has ended. And okay, I can’t speak for all writers on how they relax so I guess this post is about how I relax.
Now without delay let’s get to the goods:

How this writer relaxes (feel free to steal some ideas):

#1 Take my iphone into the bathroom and hide

NOT ME. But you get the idea.
Yup. I do this. All the time. I check my email, facebook, surf the internet… call France (okay, I don’t call France) and pretty much sit there in silence. Well, okay, my kids usually end up beating on the door wanting a snack or to tattle on each other – hence the reason I am hiding in the first place.

#2 Dance around the house in my underwear.

Tell me you don’t do it too…

#3 Drink coffee at Starbucks

This is probably my number one relaxation technique. I like to people watch and meet with friends.

#4 Watch Vampire Diaries

A whole bunch of hotness on TV – enough said.

#5 Bum around in sweatpants.

Once I wore them to school to pick up my son and the first thing he said to me was “Mom! Why are you wearing your pajamas?”

#6 Go sky diving!

This is a lie. I would never do this.

#7 Make hot tea and leave the tea bag wrappers and sweetener packets laying around on the counters.

It drives my husband crazy! He he he he he.

#8 Dress up in crazy outfits and go outside and wave to my neighbors.

Won’t you be my neighbor?? LOL
This is a lie too. I don’t do this either. Unless you count my sweatpants. LOL.

#9 Make some dessert for my husband then eat it.

(I’ve never had these but they look tasty!)
If it’s for him, the calories don’t count.
And the final thing I do to relax is:

#10 Disguise my voice and prank call my friends to tell them they won the lottery.

Once they get all excited I start laughing and tell them I was kidding. Okay, this is mean and I don’t do it but maybe I will when I am finished with this post…

And those are the things I do to relax (mostly, lol). I also like to listen to music, read, hang out with my family and play with my dog. ;-)

Thank you all so much for reading this last post of the Heven and Hell Tour: Charade. Until next time, you all rock!!

  1. LOL!!! <3 Cambria must be the most awesome person ever! I really like her idea of relaxation. They are all very easy to do hehe! This is a very fun post, I have reading all the things in the list. Who wouldn't want to go skydiving someday? xD In holiday, I used to wear my sweatpants all the time and refuse to go outside LOL - don't want the sun to hurt my fragile skin! :P

Awesome post, Cambria! Thank you for sharing, Sam! <3

  2. Hehe! I think I'm in love with Cambria already. Buahaha I'd love to #10, #8, #6 (okay, not ACTUALLY, but PRETEND to in my mind because really doing it would give me a heart attack). I wholehaertedly agree with the coffee drinking and watching hotness on tv because... well, hello. It's hotness on tv. Especially with CW shows.

Love this post!! I definitely need to find time and grab myself a copy of her books to read!

  3. My wife does that thing with the tea bag wrappers and sweetener packets too. I sigh and throw the stuff away. She also has some good qualities.

  5. Cambria is wicked funny! Sometimes when you have kids, the bathroom is the only place for escape and maybe not even then. I have been guilty of making dessert for my husband and then eating it myself. What?! I left some for him! ;)

    Fab post Cambria and Sam!

  7. You deserve to do all of the above after a hectic blog tour! I bet you can't wait to kick off your shoes and just relax! Btw there's nothing I love more than chilling out with a caramel hot chocolate and apple and cinnamon muffin from Starbucks! Gah this post has got me craving some right now!

    Awesome guest post Cambria! :)

  8. I couldn't make dessert and not eat it. I can't even let cakes cool down when I make them, I eat them still warm. Cakes and dessert are my favourite foods though :) I have the first three series of The Vampire Diaries on DVD and haven't watched them yet. I must do it soon. I'm just not that big on TV. Great post Cambria :D Glad the tour went well

Awesome guest post, you guys!! <3 And thanks so much for the great giveaway, y'all!! Vampire Diaries is definitely one of my methods of relaxation too!! Although sometimes I think it should be called the 'Kissing Diaries' or something... lol! :) YAY for relaxation and the end of an awesome blog tour!!

Haha ! All of the above sound fun, but I don't think I've tried many of them. :P

  12. YEAH SWEATPANTS! I live for sweatpants. They just make me happy:) There's nothing better than changing into a comfy pair and curling up with a book. Is it the weekend yet? Also, calories don't count for my husband either (I loathe him ;-), but even though they definitely do for me I still love dessert!

This was such a fun tour! Hope you get a little time off now Cambria!

  16. lol I loved this guest post! My daughter said to me one morning when I was wearing sweat pants "mum you aren't bringing me to school like that, are you?" and she is 3! Very rude lol. I am still looking forward to reading book 1 in the near future. Thanks for sharing, Sam :)

  17. Hah! Funny! I love the idea of making dessert for someone else and then end up eating it yourself. Unfortunately, I don't eat sugar, but I could totally make a steak for someone and then accidentally eat it.
I never really got into Vampire Diaries, I don't know what's wrong with me. I always think about getting the frist season and trying again, but in the end I never do. Huh.
    Congrats on the successful tour!

  21. Thanks for the giveaway!

I love how only about half of these things are true. XD You're such a nice devious person. You have all these great ideas but don't do them because they're mean.

  22. Haha I loved these ways to relax! I literally loled at dressing up all crazy in a clown outfit and asking "Won't you be my neighbor"
