Showcase Sunday (#2)

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea. It's an opportunity to share the books you may have bought, borrowed, been sent or gifted. Are you taking part in a similar meme? Feel free to leave a link!
This week's post is more of a two-week edition, as I didn't take part last week. You can click on the links to add any of these books on Goodreads. Here is what I got:

I recently read Jenny Han's The Summer I Turned Pretty and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, so I have high hopes for Burn for Burn. And of course, I am beyond thrilled to have a copy of Throne of Glass. I am reading this one soon and can barely stop myself from getting stuck in to it now.

A special thank you to Mandee for Preloved, which looks amazing. I'm also strangely eager to start Pushing the Limits soon. Even though realistic fiction isn't always my thing, for some reason, I am really looking forward to this.

Many thanks to the lovely Wendy Darling for these three! I'll definitely have to start with I Hunt Killers. I don't think I have read a book about serial killers before but there's something strangely intriguing about them.

Needless to say, I am very excited about some of these books and can't wait to get started on them. A huge thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the review copies, and Wendy and Mandee for being awesome.   2. I feel like 80% of the reason I always look at these posts on your blog is to see the UK covers. I actually kind of like the US cover of Throne of Glass, which is surprising :o

    I'm interested to see what you think of Blackwood. I have an ARC sitting here that I've just been too lazy to read lately. :P Maybe if you enjoy it I'll bump it up my reading list.

  3. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Pushing the Limits!!! AAAA! I want it too!! I requested it on NetGalley and I am praying they will accept it!! And Preloved I read is really good ;) ;) I hunt Killers I've heard is good too! Awesome book haul Sam!! I hope you'll enjoy them all ;) <3 <3

  4. I've been dying to read I Hunt Killers. I've seen a lot of people dying to read Throne of Glass and it sounds really awesome and exciting. I got Pushing The Limits and I'm hoping it will be a good hot romance. Happy reading!

    Many of those titles are on NG right? but I'm on a request review copy ban because of how much I have!

  15. I'm excited for Pushing the Limits (of course!). Nice to see Donna said it's really good! I also have I Hunt Killers (also a gift from Wendy, haha!) I can't wait to read that. It sounds very much like Dexter for teenagers and I love that series. I enjoyed The Night She Disappeared too. Very realistic! I'm curious to see what you think of Blackwood, I'm set to read it as well.

  17. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG SQUEALLLLLLL! YOU GOT THRONE OF GLASS<3333 SOOO LUCKY! I'm so excited for it to be released<3 It sounds SO AMAZING. And that UK cover? IT'S EPIC.   20. This has a lot of awesome books in it! I have Burn for Burn on my radar, and I'm looking forward for it to release so I can read it! Then that Throne of Glass cover! It looks way more stunning than the one I've seen up til now, but it's the story that counts, so I'm looking forward to this too, of course! Then I came across I Hunt Killers just recently, and I'll buy that for my boyfriend on the next gift occasion, and then read it after he's done with it. Probably will take some time til I get around to it, but I'm sure excited about that one!
    I wish you a lot of fun/thrill with your new books! It's really a very nice selection you have this time! =)

  21. Glad to see you got Throne of Glass, love the UK cover. I have Otherkin and The Blessed too. I feel exactly the same way about Pushing the Limits. Its not what I usually read but I really want to read it :) I was refused on Netgalley though :(

  30. Throne of Glass is effing badass no matter WHERE you read it in the world! Both the US and UK cover are... whoa. I'm expecting one kickbutt heroine :D SO FREAKING EXCITED TO READ IT!   36. I just got I hunt Killers on audio (the narrator is amazing) and I can't wait to find the time for it. It sounds very exciting. The Night She Disappeared also seems like something I'd enjoy.
    I want a copy of Preloved too! *cries*

  43. Bun for Burn sounds really good (as if the cover alone weren't to die for!). Throne of Glass and Otherkin look really good, too! And wow, Pushing the Limits! I've heard great things about this one, crossing my fingers hoping I can read this one early.
