In My Mailbox (#14)

IMM is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren, where bloggers share the books they have received with other readers. Here are some of the lovely books that landed on my doorstep (and virtual doorstep) this week:

Insurgent (Divergent, #2)  Glitch (Glitch, #1) Hold Me Closer, Necromancer

Insurgent by Veronica Roth - I read it and I loved it. Review to come on May the 1st.

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han - This is my first Jenny Han book and I'm looking forward to reading it. Everyone seems to love this series and I hope the same will apply to me.

Glitch by Heather Anastasiu - I am incredibly excited for this book! I love science fiction and I hope this doesn't let me down. Not a fan of the cover though.

Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride - I would probably never have gone for this book if it hadn't been for Goodreads. There are so many great reviews for this that I can't wait to get started.

Hemlock (Hemlock, #1) Kill Me Softly Cold Kiss

Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock - Juhina at Maji Bookshelf urged me into requesting this book after I saw how much she loved it. It's been a while since I've read anything about werewolves.

Kill Me Softly by Sarah Cross - This has been getting some great reviews, but even if it hadn't, I would have bought it for the cover alone. That has to be one of the best covers I have ever seen

Cold Kiss by Amy Garvey - I finally have this! After hearing so much about how great this book is, my expectations are pretty high. I hope I'm not disappointed!

That's everything for this week. As always, thank you to the publishers for the review copies. I'm eager to get started on some of these as soon as possible. What books did you get this week? Feel free to leave me your IMM links and I will visit when I can.

  26. I have quite honestly heard great things about ALL of these. 0_0 (SPEAKING OF WHICH. HOW DID YOU GET INSURGENT? MUCH JEALOUSY.) The only one I've read is Cold Kiss, and I definitely enjoyed it--there were some things that irked me, but the writing was absolutely lovely.

Also, I REALLY hope you like Kill Me Softly. It looks absolutely gorgeous, it sounds amazing, and everyone SAYS it's amazing, so by this point I pretty much expect it to be mind-blowing.

  38. KILL ME SOFTLY! I was brainwashed into buying that book by a friend who claims that it's the best book she's ever read, so I'm REALLY REALLY excited to get it in my hands and for you to read and review it too! :) Plus, take every time that someone in a comment above me said, "I'm so jealous that you have Insurgent" or "You're so lucky!" and multiply it by a hundred -- and you have my comment! I can't wait to read your thoughts on it, Sam! Seeing as it's bound to be epic, you can't stop me from being curious! x)
