In My Mailbox (#11)

IMM is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren, where bloggers share the books they have received with other readers. This IMM more of a two-week edition than just what I received this week. Click on the links for a description via Goodreads.

Innocent Darkness (The Aether Chronicles, #1) The Night She Disappeared Partials (Partials, #1) Seraphina

Innocent Darkness by Suzanne Lazear - I have had my eye on this book long before it even received a cover (which is gorgeous, by the way) and nearly fell off my chair when I saw it up on NetGalley. A huge thank you Flux Books for accepting my request!

The Night She Disappeared by April Henry - This book is no longer available on NetGalley, but I just managed to grab a copy before it was taken down. Thank you Rachel for the push! I will be kicking myself if I don't manage to get it read before the expiration date. 26 days and counting...

Partials by Dan Wells - A huge thank you Harper Collins UK for the review copy. I have heard nothing but good things about this book, so I am eager to get started as soon as possible. I need a good Sci-Fi fix. ;)

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman - This sounds amazing. It's taking all my will power not to get started on this right this minute and forget about the other books on my pile. I can't wait to read it. Many thanks to Random House UK for the review copy.

Fated On the Island  Daylight Saving The Dark and Hollow Places.

Fated by Sarah Alderson - You should have seen my face when this book turned up. After having read and LOVED Hunting Lila, I have wanted to get my hands on Fated for a long time. The lovely Jasprit @ The Reader's Den was awesome enough to gift me a copy. Thank you, Jasprit! One a side note, you should all go and check out her brand-new blog. ;)

On the Island by Tracey Graves - I was lucky enough to win a copy of this from Racquel and Emma @ The Book Barbies (another one of my favourite blogs). This isn't a book I would have even noticed before, but after reading all the 5-star reviews for it on Goodreads, I am so excited to read it myself. Thank you to Tracey for sending me the copy!

Daylight Saving by Edward Hogan - Another competition win. I feel awful for forgetting which blog I entered this on, but a huge thank you to the host and publisher for giving me the chance to read this book! A thrilling ghost story sounds like my type of thing. :)

The Dark & Hollow Places by Carrie Ryan - I have read the whole Forest of Hands and Teeth series and love all the books, so I'm thrilled to be able to own my own copy of the final one. I seem to be on a lucky streak with competition wins this week - this is another one! Thanks go to the publisher and the lovely ladies at Book Passion for Life.

As always, I would love to hear your thoughts on any of the books above, whether you have read them or are planning to. Leave me a link to your IMM posts if you have made one and would like me to visit. :)

  16. Oh my gosh, I think that the cover for Innocent Darkness is SO PRETTY too!! I love how steampunkish it feels, and I love how there's a thing that looks like a blimp floating in the back because I've always wanted to ride in a blimp! x) And I'm so happy that you finally have Fated! I may have loved Hunting Lila a little bit more (because ALEX! JACK! LILA! DEMOS! <3) but it was still an extremely sweet book! :)

Beautiful-looking mailbox, Sam! I really don't know how you can concentrate on anything else when you have all those awesome books! ;) <3

  34. Lucky you, as always! I requested Innocent Darkness a couple of days ago so it'll probably take a while for me to get approved (or not). I really think you'll enjoy Partials, it's pretty unputdownable, and Fated is very good too. Not as good as Lila, but still good.

Also, I'm off to find out more about Daylight Saving. It looks really interesting.

  35. I have a feeling that Innocent Darkness is going to rock our worlds *fist-bumps* I would hate it if that cover was good for nothing. I bought Partials for my kindle recently and, like you, I'm in desperate need of some sci-fi. It's been A WHILE.

I loved Hunting Lila, and while Fated wasn't as awesome, it's still a fun book. It's Sarah Alderson's doing, after all. Hope you enjoy it! And I have to get to book two in Carrie Ryan's series. What am I doing?! *LOL*

    Have an amazing reading week!
